Assistant Branch Manager

The incumbent assists the Branch Manager with the overall responsibility of the retail branch location. The incumbent will have direct responsibility for the management of the teller staff and teller work functions. The incumbent assists in the development of branch teller staff by providing work direction and actively participating in the selling and delivery of financial services provided by the Bank. The incumbent will make recommendations or referrals of Bank products and services that will provide solutions for life and meet the needs of every customer. The incumbent is accountable to ensure the highest quality of service to every customer which may include opening new accounts, but primarily involves oversight and guidance for the teller staff, providing teller services, providing customers with information, and resolving banking problems for customers. The incumbent will support day-to-day branch operations. The incumbent will also work closely with the Branch Manager and the Director of Branch Operations to achieve desired financial results for the branch and to meet or exceed established bank sales goals. The incumbent in this position is responsible for the implementation of security and safety-related policy and procedures that are designed to minimize the risk and potential loss to Bank employees, assets, and customers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1.High school diploma or GED.
2.One-plus years of banking experience.
3.One-plus years of customer service experience.
4.Two years of Teller experience or combination of Teller and Personal Banker experience.
5.Knowledge of banking products and services.
6.Organizes and directs the teller sales efforts through goal setting, motivation, coaching, and training.
7.Planning and organizational skills utilizing time-management and project-management abilities.
8.Analytical and problem solving skills.
9.Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and accomplish a variety of tasks and goals with little supervision.
10.Excellent customer service skills.
11.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, & written communication skills.
12.Proficiency in all Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel etc.) and ability to use and learn various job-related software programs.
13.Represents the bank in the community to further enhance its image and to develop and promote additional business opportunities.
14.Must be able to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
15. Availability to work Saturdays and/or extended hours as required to support branch operations.
2.Three-plus years of position-related or equivalent experience.
3.Two-plus years of supervisory experience, plus supervisory abilities, including: leadership skills, sound decision making, the ability to motivate others, and the capability to address conflict in a positive and productive manner.
